Trust Wins Heritage Award

The construction of a full sized horse winding engine on the Gorse Field was recently recognised by winning the Leicestershire County Councils Heritage Competition
Special Project Award.

The annual event sponsored by the Leicester Mercury celebrates all the independent museums which help paint a picture of life in the county through the decades. The award was received on behalf of the Trust by John Wilkins.
